maybe, well maybe i'll be flying to Morocco somewhere next year. i should sit down and accept the fact that i can never have big arms and bulging pecs. a bit disappointing, but that won't stop me from hitting the gym as usual. cause i swear i'll do whatever i can to be fit as fuck. as in running a full 6km without stopping or doing 15 pull ups straight, that kind of fit ya know. dude, i sound desperate or what? haha. ok more strengthening exercise, more cardiovascular workouts! maybe i really should start kicking some pads soon. the itch is unbearable.

a 2-1 win to the Gunners. as a United supporter, i was utterly disappointed. we could have killed off the game early in the match. but poor finishing really cost us the points this time around. those wasted chances... Rafael's well-taken volley did cheer me up a bit. he's definitely one for the future.

but on the other hand, as a true football fan, i would honestly say i witnessed another Premier League classic. the good old rivalry between United and the Gunners. the attacking football, end to end stuffs, flying tackles, the intimidating atmosphere and those splendid goals. maybe Arsenal really deserve to win this time around. i'd give some to Nasri, he was on fire! it's ok, losing to Arsenal won't hurt as much as losing to Liverpool. i admit, i have a soft spot for the Gunners. hahaha.

the title race is not over yet, there's still a long way to go. don't write us off yet, you should know that.

-i used to write down the letters 'K N R' on any things that i can lay my hands on to. even on the walls of the girls' toilet.

-i used to try and imitate the last ride (WWE Undertaker's finishing move) at Faris... but he was too heavy and i ended up piledriving his head hard on the concrete floor... so that explains why he is sometimes not thinking straight nowadays. no pun intended.

-i used to shit on the stairs of a HDB flat while playing footy with my mates... equipped with only a packet of tissue paper and a 1.5 litre water bottle. you can't be choosy about the place you know when you have diarrhea. you may call it disgusting, that's what i call survival.

-i used to gulp down a bottle of cough mixture... yes i was addicted to it once.

-i used to be a crybaby... and i still am one today. hehehe.

school's starting tomorrow, and i'm definitely not looking forward to it. another semester of stress, projects, exams, quizzes and a whole lot of other shit. but on the side note, my timetable is quite slack compared to the rest. lesson starts at 12pm and ends at 5pm every Monday which means... no more fuckin' Monday blues! yeah that's something to cheer about. while on Tuesdays, its 2pm to 6pm. yes, only 4 hours of lessons. make it 2 hours of lessons if i feel like being an asshole on that day by skipping the lectures. and again like the previous semester, there's no school on Fridays. the good thing is, i can cycle to school most of the time now since lessons begin quite late in the afternoon. cycling to school means exercising and not taking public transport, which means being fitter and saving money. according to my mental calculation, i can save approximately 40 bucks if i cycle to school every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday with the wet weather factor in consideration. sounds good huh?

my mind is in a mess now. time to sit down, reorganize everything and reset my body clock so that i'll be ready for this semester.

2 gigs (we actually had 2 more slots, but we had to cancel it) and a recording session in 5 days, man i'm shagged! but it was all worth it.

so, Tuesday was our 2nd gig at Heeren.

and i have to tell you, that day was a blast!

the trip on our ''tour bus'' 65, but without the booze and chicks. hahaha.

when Syam the gullible believed the story told by Yas and Bhir that their SP Muay Thai trainer by the name of WOD-saenklai, was a former Lumpinee champion and a K1 World Max finalist, and will turn on the radio and perform the Wai Khru with the music everytime before training. it was fucking hilarious that i was literally laughing my ass off! oh priceless moment number 1.

so yeah, our tour bus was slow and i assumed that it would stop directly infront of Heeren. but things didn't turn our way when we passed by Orchard and the worst thing was, we had only 10 mins before our show starts. Syam, as the leader of the band, started to panic while the rest of us was just laughing away. Yoga, our own gig at Sentosa, LSB was some of the ideas we came up as an alternative to do if we really did miss our gig. hahaha. Syam was fuming away, and he was the only one who didn't find it amusing. hahaha you should have seen his reaction, priceless moment number 2.

but oh well, things turned out just fine.

everything went smoothly, except the fact that we had to lower our volume cause the Heeren management was complaining that it was too loud. the turnout was better than we expected, with foreigners and even matreps (?!#$%?!?) taking vids of us. lol.

and there's this adorable baby who just kept dancing and clapping to our songs.

and yeah finally, our trip to the recording studio yesterday.

we were like kids in a candy shop, testing out everything that we can get our hands to.

not some recording studio using a handphone with the 'studio manager' blabbling and wiggling away everytime we make a noise. hahaha.

we had our backstage pass, we felt like a rockstar. haha.

Syam, AGAIN, was furious when i played a wrong note at the end of the song. i don't know why but it sounded okay to me. and when it was his turn to record his 2nd guitar, he accidentally plucked a string when it was the bass solo. Zai's spontaneous reaction was fucking funny! an automatic middle finger to Syam. hahaha. priceless moment number 3. we will get the final piece in 2 or 3 weeks time, not expecting much thought but hope it will sound decent enough.

oh man, this experience is something i'll never forget.

a million thanks to Tien Yuan and Aiman for being patient and putting up with all our nonsense. hahaha. as for now, its back to assignments. fuck!

finally, term test is over!
i must admit i'm really brain drained now from all those late night mugging and memorising and my body is feeling kinda shagged. so yeah, time for a well-deserved rest.

im really looking forward to alot of things to do during the term break. like going back to the gym, the early morning run, football, cardio workout, muay thai, chilling with the lads and upcoming gigs :))

but term breaks are usually packed with assignments, as usual lorrr. hahaha fuck. i have 7 fucking assignments to fucking finish up before school starts. fuck.

anyway, Despot's gig at Music Garage was quite fun to be honest.
the sound was good, the lighting was superb, we really enjoyed it and the 'crowd' was 'wild', in a funny way that is. hahaha. all those tit flashings and stuffs. really cracked me up man.

big thanks to those who came down and supported us.
guys like Sofy and Nabeel, who really made my day. hahaha.
and not forgetting John and Lennon (no joke), for taking the photos and recording the vids.

9 years wait and finally the day came.
and i'm really really really ecstatic.
oh man words just can't describe the feeling.

England was conquered first, and then Europe.
which simply means, we're officially the best team in England and Europe for now.

it really was a fucking good game.
both team battled to the end, but i have to admit, United had the luck in the end to see off Chelsea in the penalty shoot-out. its really very hard to separate these 2 great teams.
with so much at stake, you can't take your eyes off the TV for even a second!

Scholes played the game of his life in the first half. he was simply flawless. his passing was effortless, cool, calm and composed. missing out in the 99' finals must have really hurt him bad.
Vida and Rio was as usual, rock solid at the back and Tevez was really like a mad dog. and all hail our very own legend Ryan Giggs for breaking Sir Bobby Charlton's record appearances.

Ronaldo's goal was simply fantastic. the build up was beautiful, the one two between Brown and Scholes, and the way Ronaldo floated in the air and timed his header which left Cech rooted to the ground really left me in awe.

United dominated throughout the first half, it should have been 3-0 up if it wasn't for Cech's brilliant saves. after Lampard snatched the equaliser, things began to change.
credit to Chelsea, they were the better team in the second half.
their 2 shots which hit against the woodwork almost gave me a cardiac arrest. not to mention the penalty shootout, especially when it was John Terry's turn. they really fought till the end but lady luck was just not on their side. losing on penalties can be a really cruel thing. and one more thing, Avram Grant deserves the respect. i'll take back my words.

i definitely agree to this statement.
not that i'm being biased or what, but just that statistics and facts speaks for itself.

throughout the season, the Red Devils swept aside their opponents with their breakneck speed style of attacking football which can leave one breathless. that's just champagne football.

while Chelsea is just like a well-oiled machine that just keep on grinding out the results when it matters most eventhough when they are not at their best of form. solid and extremely efficient. the only thing i hate about Chelsea is Avram Grant. haha.

no doubt Arsenal's counter-attacking style of footbal left everyone watching in awe. but the young team just lacks that winning mentality this season. they cracked when they succumb to pressure. give them 2-3 more years, and i'm sure they'll be at the top together with United and Chelsea.

they're just too inconsistent in the league.
and they definitely play dull football compared to the other 'Big Four'. the only good thing in the team is Torres and Gerrard. to me that is. take away this two top-class players and it's gonna be a whole different picture.

FYI i'm taking Biomedical Physics, Medical Electronics, Engineering Maths 3, Networking Fundamentals and Molecular Genetics this semester. sounds pretty interesting but i know the workload's gonna be a bitch. oh yeah and don't forget my CDS, Understanding Art. and thank god its based on individual work. haha! only god knows why man.

so far scouting report from the School Of Engineering have been dissapointing. haha. but kinda expected right? next scouting assignment, off to School Of Business! bwahaha.

yay! im no longer a freshie!
school is starting tomorrow and im quite excited.
excited by the prospect of seeing my classmates (errmm.. maybe not..), getting to know new friends and of course, a whole lot of new chicks to scout! hahaha.
time-table is slack, apart from Mondays and Tuesdays.
school starts at 8am and ends at 4pm every Mondays. and when you include the Monday blues plus the morning traffic and all, it doesn't sound good huh? tsk.
i'll only have 4 hours of school on Wednesdays.
and the best thing is, there's no school on Fridays! :D

well, i do feel that i have done everything that i wanted during this hols. spending time with the lads, getting my own money, playing a lot of football, getting my fitness back on track and a whole lot of other stuffs. holidays worthwhile!
and now, its time to get this rusty brain of mine back to work.
its gonna be a challenging semester, but i'm confident i can pull through. FOCUS!

since there's a lot of free time to spend every week, i figure its best that i make full use of the it.

Contender Asia Finale was fucking awesome!

27 bucks for the ticket was really a bargain.
the distance from our seat to the ring was perfect.
plus i got a free Contender Asia t-shirt worth 20 bucks :)

Soren managed to win the Intercontinental Championship by defeating Sean.
i must say i was really impressed with Soren.
he has really improved his game, he's definitely much more aggressive now. his punch and kicks combination were simply brilliant.

oh yeah Dzabar won the European Champion belt by defeating that Frenchie, Raffik. close match i must say. Dzabar was funny when Raffik was doing his Wai Khru. haha cheeky!

Our very own local boy Zach was awesome too!
he had a rematch with Zidov (hahaha the one who shotgunned Maia Lee..), and won it by a 5th round TKO. an elbow straight to the face! his nose was continuously bleeding so the ref had no choice but to stop the fight. and Zidov got hit directly at the nuts about 3 times? ouch that gotta hurt. punishment for having sex with Maia Lee. haha. you should see his agony on TV. Zach really showed that the previous encounter won by Zidov was really a fluke.

The final match was simply breathtaking.

alright first of all,
Khabir, Yas and me are off to the Contender Asia finale at the Indoor Stadium tomorrow.
man i can't wait to see our own local boy Zach fight.
and hell yeah he's having a rematch with Zidov! ouh man its gonna be exciting.
i have this gut feeling that Yodsanklai's gonna win it.
he's Thai, he's the WBC Muay Thai World champion, and he's definitely the favourite to win the competition. this guy packs one hell of a kick! no surpise huh?

seriously, its been like since sec 3 that i have actually developed an interest for martial arts.
of course, boxing and muay thai was on top of my list.
but too bad my dad didn't really liked the idea.
oh well, i'll give myself 6 months to get my basic boxing technique right first before giving muay thai a try.

a few more hours and we'll bid farewell to 2007.
time to wrap it all up and welcome the new year.
i must say its been one hell of a year for me.
with a few ups and downs.
now, here is a quick summary of my highlights of 2007.

January

The Asean Cup.
We got a goalless draw against Vietnam, before trashing Laos 11-0. Alam Shah bagged 7 goals in that match. Singapore then drew 2-2 with Indonesia to go through to the semi-finals.
The atmosphere for the Singapore Vs Malaysia was really awesome. The Kallang wave, the stomping of the feet and the infamous cheer. Simply mind-blowing. We beat them 5-4 on penalties to make it to the finals. Singapore then became champions of South-East Asia for the 3rd time after beating the mighty Thailand 3-2 on aggregate in the finals.

February

This month was a happy month for me. I really didn't expect to pass my Os. But i managed to get 15 points for my L1R4, somehow. Its funny really. I remembered how i felt the day before getting the results. Stoning away on my bed, hoping for the best but being prepared for the worst. The butterflies in my stomach as i entered the school hall. The tears of joy as i held that piece of paper. The day i made my dad proud. Wow.

April

April was another memorable month for me. Went for my CLT course for 2 looong weeks. There, i got to meet a whole lot of people from different backgrounds, each with their own unique kind of style and personality. I learnt a lot of new stuffs which proved to be quite useful. April was also the month where i got the first taste of tertiary life. Got into the course of my choice, Biomedical Informatics & Engineering. Sounds chim huh? Again, i met a whole new bunch of wonderful people with colourful personalities.

May

Manchester Utd was crowned the Barclay's English Premiership champions for the 9th time after a 4 year hiatus. That feeling was gooood. But unfortunately United missed out on the treble after losing 5-3 on aggregate to eventual champions AC Milan in the semi finals of the UEFA Champions league and losing 1-0 to Chelsea in the FA Cup finals. Sigh. I had a hard time adjusting to tertiary life. It was really hectic and jam-packed for me at that time. Took me almost a month to finally settle down and get the ball rolling.

June

The amazing comeback against the tech boys. What more can i say? Coming back from a 4-1 scoreline in the first half to eventually beat them 6-5 was amazing! I just came back from camp the day before and i swear i had a torrid time on the pitch. All that horrible feeling was gone when Shafiq Ali Noordin finally banged in the winning goal. The triumph over the tech boys. What a wonderful feeling.

July

July marked Despot's first gig, Tapestry. I have to admit things didn't went on smoothly as we planned. The sound system, the final solo just to name a few. But hey, we ain't that bad for a first timer. It was more of a learning experience for me and my bandmates. We even got to mingle with The Leaven Trait. And i really hope we'll not stop there :)

September

We didn't have any plans after our Friday prayers, so we headed to the airport just to kill some time. But it was all worthwhile. We talked and shared about our dream, which was to go to Melbourne to ton at Fadhil's house. Sounds cheeky, but i swear we all are dead serious about it. We even calculated by saving 4 bucks a week for 5 years, we'll get that golden ticket. Come on lads! Lets do this together!

November

November was really a blast! TP riots was one heck of an experience for me. The day we almost crashed GSE's gig at the TCC. We were denied entry by the authorities for some reason. But all those chaos cooled down when GSE finally stepped in and interacted with us. They are really a cool bunch of people. Take a look at Saiful for example. A former DJ, currently an Arts teacher and the frontman of one of the hottest bands in Singapore. Cool huh? I even had a GSE album poster signed by all 5 members! And they totally rocked the stage at LSB the next day. They are indeed flying the flags of Singapore in the music scene and it makes me really proud to be a Singaporean.

so yeah thats the summary of my highlights of 2007.
time really flies don't you think? geez.

alright this paragraph goes to the lads, mainly Wan, Bhir, Ris, Zai, Syam, Fiq, Hasfi, Mat and Yas. All those laughters we shared, all those silly things we die, all those gangbanging recorded, all those racist comments, all those chicks we scouted, all those footy we played and all those FNITN we enjoyed, certainly was worth it. You guys are the best man! Yeah i still stick to the motto "Bros before hoes, but chicks before dicks". haha.

ok now lets flashback, and take a look at my 2007 new year resolution.

1) improve on my religious aspects.
2) show more love for the environment.
3) brush up on my football skill.
4) be more prudent and cut down my spendings on unecessary junkies.
5) gain more weight and build up my body.
6) read more Malay books and newspaper to improve on my vocab.
7) help out do the house chores more to prove to my mum that i am not that entirely useless.
8) clean up my room more often.
9) be more generous and kind to others.
10) practice more on the guitar till i can shred my fingers off.
11) be a better person, brother and son.

well i certainly did to a certain extent.

finally its over!
oh i have a feeling i'll do badly for term test, especially Biochemistry.
term break is here and there is sure a lot of upcoming plans.
swimming, KRFC match, football at Wembley, dinner with my classmates, 15 hours of strict gym (dont laugh ok) just to name a few.

after one week of hardcore muggin', the best way to let it all out is of course to chill out with the lads. Friday Night Is The Night yo!

i swear i wont forget what happened today.
first, the orgy in the library. oh man that was really funny.

and then the GSE riot.
we tried to crash TPrawks' Jam N Hop through the backdoor but to no avail. we were pretty close i must say.

a few hours left and the holy month of Ramadhan will end.
time really really flies.
how sad and how wasted.

well, Ramadhan has taught me a lot more valuable lessons this time around.
to constantly read the Quran, upgrade my faith and improve on my iman.
fasting in the month of Ramadhan is more than just thirst and hunger.
its about being generous, patient, kind and so on an so forth.
and indeed praying 3 am in the morning gives you the peace and serenity.
thats the time you can be closest to Allah.
and hopefully i can get the blessings of Lailatul Qadr. insyallah.
for once, im not talking cock and bull.
to those who didnt fast due to some strange reasons, all i can say is you missed your chance.
insyallah we'll meet Ramadhan again next year.
as for now, the big challenge for me is to maintain.

Tapestry.
errrr... didnt go as smoothly as we planned?
we were bad to be honest. but not that bad.
didnt anticipate a few things.
but hey, this was our first gig right.
all the bands there were fuckingg awesomee and it really made us look like a small fry. haha.
and i was damn nervous when i got up the stage and my tummy ache just made the situation worse.
the people there were very supportive and a bunch of lads even moshed in front of us. they were just pitying us thats all. haha.

well 2 days of school has really been slack and im still not in the mood to study.

OOOOOH WHAT A COMEBACK!!

had a rematch against the tech boys just now.

4-1 in the first half.
5-2 in the second half.
6-5 in the third half. need i say more?

in the first half, i really played like ___________.
up to you guys to fill in the blank.
i was severely lacking in match fitness plus jaded and in need of a rest. FM habis siol. hahaa.
seriously i wasnt myself. i made 2 mistakes that led to a goal each. shiite. and we weren't playing our usual passing game.

but we played better in the second half.
creating chances and scoring a goal.

but the game wasnt over yet.
everything went right in the final third.
everyone was fighting for the ball and defending like mad.
i was playing my own game.
Fiq scored 2 wonderful goals.
Saifuddin was working his ass off breaking down the opponent's play.
Hasfi managed to bagged in his 4th goal of the match. MOM i must say. everyone was doing their part. even Syam the lazy bummer came down all the way from the left flank to help us defend. and when Fiq slotted in the winning goal, everyone of us went jubilant. the feeling? hard to explain.
hard fought game, we were the hungrier team. kudos to all of you.

i have to say the Specialist Course was a success.
everything went on smoothly and there were rarely any cock ups.
over these past few days, i really have learnt a lot from both the officers and the more experienced senior CLTs in terms of management. so yeah.. i thank you all.

as for the cadets, dont be sad if you only got a 3rd sergeant.
just take it as a stepping stone towards something bigger.
seriously theres not much difference between a 2nd and a 3rd sergeant. remember kids.. RANK is what you wear, RESPECT is what you earn. cehh.

and she made eye contact with Syam too. bwahaha.

im gonna go off to HQ soon for the Specialist Course.

term break is here! wooohoooo!
i can finally chuck my books under my bed and let it get dusty.
just to let you all know, my term break is quite jam-packed with activities though.

11th-14th (Specialist Course)
16th, 23rd (Rapelling training)
18th-19th (BIE adventure camp)
21st (4E4 and T01 BBQ at ECP)

i wanna play football.
i wanna play more football.
i wanna be part of the team for the rematch against the Tech boys.
but it seems like i dont have the time for all that fun. sheesh.

anyway.. HAP test was quite manageable just now.
and yeah im beginning to love this sub.
im really amazed by how the things inside our body is working.

i swear yesterday's FA Cup final was fucking boring.
Chelsea 1 Man Utd 0. dangss.
its okay boys.. theres still next season.
at least Utd didn't finish this season empty handed.
